We went here before a show at Carnegie Hall. Our waiter was great, the food was excellent. We were seated in a little alcove with two tables which was nice until another table was seated, then the noise was somewhat bothersome. Overall it was a lovely dinner!
Delightful dining experience! I had dined once before in 1990 when visiting NY, loved it and seeing it was still open in 2021, decided to try it again. Just as amazing as I remember. Friendly, competent staff, lively atmosphere and ridiculously delicious food. I ordered the lasagna and was thrilled with my decision! Will continue to visit when in New York.
Going back again soon - it was delicious and delightful!

One of our favorite places. Comfortable atmosphere, though busy before and after theater, great art work on the walls, excellent Italian food, and superb service (by Anis, a waiter who's been there 29 years). Great place to go for a birthday; you'll be serenaded by all the waiters singing "Happy Birthday Total Stranger."
Incredible food, was probably mine and my new wife’s favorite dinner.
