Just a great place before or after theater
Convivial , comfortable, and excellent in every respect, as always.
This was not my first visit to Trattoria Dell'Arte. I always look forward to dining here. Monday night's dinner was wonderful. My dining companion was impressed with the restaurant and dinner. I look forward to returning for dinner again.
Joe was an excellent server! We were in a hurry and he recommended dishes that would come out quick...and they did...in like 5 minutes. Everyone enjoyed their meals! The tartufo dessert was handmade in house and was excellent!
Food is excellent, service good, noise level unpleasant. We live across the street and would eat here more often if we could have a conversation without shouting. So we never go with other people
Everything was great, but I have to single out the service. One of our party arrived late and the waiter managed everything with perfect timing. Even though the restaurant was busy, our waiter never showed a hint of impatience -- quite the contrary, he only wanted everything to be delivered to our table just when we were ready for it, so it would be fresh from the kitchen. We were visiting NY, and remembered eating at this Italian restaurant years ago. Nice white tablecloth place with good food and a fun decor with large plaster body parts on the wall. We made reservations on OpenTable a couple of weeks in advance. When we arrived, they were very busy, and the host seated us in the bar area. Pretty good food. A bit expensive. Slow service. My wife got her antipasto from the display on the main floor (we were sitting upstairs), and the rest of the family got our food 35 minutes later.
I miss the elegance of the old location. The antipasto was delicious.
