We went to Trattoria Dell'Arte to celebrate my boyfriend's 24th birthday, and cap off our road trip, and can honestly say this was one of the better overall restaurant experiences we have both had in a while. To start, as we walked in were asked preference of seating, as we were seated in the 'nose room' we called it, we were greeted with complimentary glasses of sparkling for celebrating a birthday. Our server for the night was John Z, and as both myself and boyfriend work in the service industry as well, we started joking ... read more
Wonderful dinner with friends
I was able to get a table for 6 at very short notice at the time I wanted and an extra bonus was we were seated in a small ante wine room that only had another table for 6, ideal to chat.
Had an excellent dining experience. Started with an outstanding Caesar salad followed by veal scallopini and a butter spaghetti side. The veal was succulent in a perfectly seasoned sauce. Accompanied the meal with a bright spicy red wine from southern Italy. These factors combined with an attentive wait staff made for a very enjoyable evening.
We received a warm and friendly greeting by the Host. We chose to be seated outside, as it was a beautiful evening. We sat at a table with a view down 7th Ave to Central Park and in another direction towards Time Square; a fun spot for our last night in NYC. The server was friendly, however when the food arrived both entrees were not what we ordered. They were replaced with what we had ordered followed by an apology, so they made it right. The food was creative, unique and flavorful. I would definitely go back again.
I have been to Trattoria Dell'Arte a few times. I have always thought the food was excellent and the service first rate. The restaurant can be a bit crowded later in the evening, but I have never been disappointed.
First time dining here was a very enjoyable experience. Loved the food! Menu includes great variety. Prompt, courteous service in a pleasurable atmosphere.
We went to Trattoria Dell'Arte after the theater. We've been there many times before. This is the best thin crust pizza around and it's a perfect place for post theater, late night dining. Fun, open late, and the pizza is great. Once again, they didn't disappoint. We had a great time and hope to return next time we are in New York.
Had a particularly creative vegetarian option - a portobello mushroom in a nice sauce. Elegant place, very good wait staff. Overall, I think it was a good experience.
