We selected Trattoria dell'Arte for our 25th wedding anniversary on a friend's recommendation. We mentioned in the comments in our reservation that it was our 25th. The maitre d' greeted us and immediately poured complimentary champagne which was served to us when we were ushered to our table. The waiter was friendly and accommodating and congratulated us on our 25th. He was knowledgeable and helpful in selecting a wine after he discovered they were out of our first choice. All of our food selections were perfectly prepared ... read more
Brandon runs a fabulous tight ship. Everything A+. Love the food- great taste, great Svc& fun too
You feel like family when you enter the door. Service is great and the food is consistently good. Varied menus, something for everyone.
Had dinner here pre show with some friends. Located right across the street from Carnegie Hall, the location was very convenient. All I can say is, the location was the best part. The food was average, no better, no worse. Our waiter was a total flake, but I wouldn't hold that against the restaurant per se. We just didn't love anything, really. And the prices are high. Can't see us returning there- there's just too many great places to eat in NY, to spend the money at a place that's only average.
Wonderful Italian fare. Located across from the concert hall. I have been coming to the Trattoria for more than 15 years. Great Food, super service and very friendly. I try to dine each and every time I come to NY during our Opera Season weekends. Try the whole chicken or the any of their delicious Veal dishes.
If heading to Carnegie Hall, City Center, or Broadway, this is a great restaurant. Menu has a good variety of delicious entrees. Service could be better, but otherwise enjoyed the fast pre-show service.
We always eat here on our last night in NY. I had made a reservation and informed Raymond it was our 25th wedding anniversary. He wanted to know details about how we got engaged, etc. Such a great personality....a real "people person" and his enthusiasm added to the fun of our evening. He provided us with complimentary glass of champagne and kept checking on us to make sure our server was treating us right. We had a great meal---Thank you, Trattoria Dell'Arte!
We declined a table downstairs near the bar and next a table with young children. We were seated upstairs which worked well. Food was excellent .chianti was even better. Enjoyed a night out for two.
I know that they're busy on a Saturday night, but the speed at which courses were delivered would shame a highway rest station McDonalds. Our fried artichoke appetizers were delivered seconds after ordering them and were unsurprisingly somewhat overcooked/dried out - I assume that they just keep churning them out (not unlike a fast food place) instead of a la minute, as one would expect at $15/dish. Similarly, our main courses arrived while we were still chewing. My ravioli was good, but at $30, it should be great. Clearly, ... read more
