One of my favorite spots in NYC. Try to get there whenever I'm in town. The Ahi/yellowtail is superb!!

We had outstanding service and that was from everyone that worked at Trattoria Dell'Arte. Friends from Chicago recommended this restaurant to us and on our recent trip we had to go. The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. We had a great time and were not rushed even though our party was late arriving and it was Valentine's Day weekend. I would highly recommend and a great wine list is a plus to everything else.

Knowing this restaurant has been around a long time and it appears "theater crowd" oriented I was nervous. It was awesome. Warm and friendly greeting, glass of bubbly, good service, good food and good value. And the easiest thing to do, but something that made a huge impression - at the end they brought out warm cookies on a big baking sheet and offered oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip. No one does anything like this anymore. I thought it was so fun and refreshing and with all the restaurants to choose from when I go back, ... read more

I h ave been here many, many times. The only thing I wanted to mention was that the main course was brought out too early. The waiter had not cleared and already had the plates in his hands. It also arrived just moments that we had finished the appetizers (starters). A few moments would have been a better solution. Overall a wonderful time had by all, once things slowed down.

The food was superb and the service attentive without being overbearing. They know many patrons are going to Carnegie Hall or the theatre, so they get you out on time. The cost is pricey, but you get good food and service. The location is perfect for Carnegie Hall.

It was delicious and delightful. We both had the halibut special and it was outstanding.

Across from Carnegie Hall, Trattoria is the place I always dine before performances there. A 'genuine' iIalian restaurant with authentic and comprehensive menu. Food always fresh, well prepared, and served in a timely manner. You can count on getting to your performance on time if you tell your server. It fills up and gets more noisy as the evening goes on, so I always dine early--you can order as early as 5 PM.

Your restaurant was the perfect place to visit after a night at Carnegie Hall. My wife and I enjoyed it tremendously. We were greater with such warmth at the door and we loved our server, Gregory. Our meal portions were abundant and very good. Not excellent but very good. I ordered the Chicken parmesan and my wife order the veal. Our dishes reminded me of the classic 'old style' American Italian food from the '70s and '80s that my mom and dad would frequent. The chicken was perhaps too smothered in cheese and too big to fini... read more
