We were very lucky to get a last minute reservations. This is a popular place. Food and service was top notch. And it was only 2 blocks from out hotel. We will be back again and again.
Sat at the antipasto bar, and while this was less comfortable than dining at a table, I was alone and the restaurant was crowded. It was a joy, however, to look at the various dishes within the bar. The food was excellent, and while the restaurant was expensive to me, it was well within what I expected to pay. Service was quite good, very accommodating, and I did feel treated well. One of my immediate choices for hosting a business lunch is Trattoria Dell'Arte - convenient location, terrific food, table spacing and banquettes allow for discreet discussions. Wait staff is always precise and professional and given high marks for being on top of their game-so courses are delivered promptly and impeccably. Great menu offerings make selection a challenge.

I've been going to this restaurant for several years, on and off, with family who visits the city. I also recommend it to friends who travel to NYC, who want fantastic service, a great menu that pleases vegetarians to the person who loves good Italian (that isn't their own mamma's), and a good evening meal surrounded by their friends & family. Loved the seafood antipasto! Excellent veggie antipasto too--- Excellent pre-theater choice. Warmly greeted by staff and waiter. No pretense --fun and delicious.
This restaurant has great food, but is a busy place. The noise level is up there, the service is adequate but not great.
We were disappointed. Artichoke appetizer was excellent, salad so so and entrees average. Tasted ok but did meet expectations.
Wonderful, attentive service. Lots of great extras.
