good food. good service. across the street from Carnegie Hall. definitely recommended for pre-concert dining.
We were warmly greeted and seated upstairs which was great for talking/catching up. Our Irish waiter was charming, informative and gave us time & space while still getting us out on time for our show. The focaccia was very good, vegetable antipasti was ordinary but all three of our entrees were outstandiing (halibut special , tuna & ravioli) We had deconstructed cannolis for dessert (as suggested by our waiter as one of our party has lactose issues) - best ever! All the wait staff were attentive & pleasant. All in all, a gre... read more
Best restaurant in New York. Come here all the time!
I hate being late for anything and so my sister and I arrived 10 minutes before our 11 a.m. reservation. It was a very cold, blustery morning and having walked from where we were parked, we wanted a quick refuge. The restaurant was still closed but the staff were already inside. We decided to call them on the phone to request that we be allowed to wait in the anteroom. We were aware that they were busy with the preparations for the first seating and we did not expect to enter the second door to the dining room. It was terrib... read more
The service was good, but if you have a limited time for a business lunch this is not for you. They are a little too laid back with taking your order and bringing you the check. The risotto of the day was out of this world - creamy parmesan - outstanding, but needed a small salad with it to counter the richness of the dish. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and go back myself.
The food and service were outstanding. This staff treated us as very special and went out of their way to provide us with an excellent evening meal. They even gave us a special table where my wife and I could sit next to each other and enjoy the ambience. Our waitress Emily was truly amazing. She was so friendly, nice and gave us outstanding service.
When we are in NY,we never missed this restaurant. We love the food, the service, and the ambience,we always go, when we left the broadwayys shows . the food, and specially the veal chop parmegiana is wonderfull, and very big portion
Good food but pricey. Portions are large, maybe too large. Good location. The restaurant has been around for a long time. It needs to be re-designed. Service was good but not exceptional for this price level.
As I entered the restaurant, I felt more welcomed than any other restaurant I've visited in New York! The staff is awesome! The food was very good and the art is eclectic and entertaining. Great spot! I will return!
