I felt like royalty! The staff was genuninely warm and friendly and treated us like they were so happy to see us! The place is gorgeous and the food absolutely exquisite! We were greated with glasses of champagne and the service was perfect, always attentive without unnecessary interuptions! I would dine here again, and again and again!
Although we have lived in that part of the city for years, we had never noticed this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by its menu and service. The mushroom pizza and friend artichokes were excellent. Sadly my steak was quite overcooked but that's what you get when you order steak in a place that's not a steakhouse.... Our server was fun and engaging but whenever we were not ready to order and asked for a few minutes, he disappeared and never came back. hence we didn't order any dessert so I cannot comment on that. A little bit stuffy for us. Room needs a major over haul.
Treated specially from the moment we walked in until we left. Very attentive service.
One of the best thin crust pizzas we have ever had, seriously. The salad too. A really great meal with service to match.
We were running a bit late due to the bad weather and our waiter served us quickly and efficiently and made great meal suggestions. We both really enjoyed the antipasto bar variety and quality. I would not typically go out to dinner and have the lasagna but their 101 layer lasagna is amazing! It is also huge. I ended up taking some home for the next day. My husband's seafood papardelle was also excellent. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the cocktails were absolutely wonderful as was the wine. The atmosphere is coz... read more
We had a terrific pre-theater dinner. The fried artichokes, salads, veal parmesan, swordfish, snapper and deserts were excellent, as was the service. I would go back in a second.
We had Italians for Sunday lunch. We wanted to explore the menu so after a wonderful octopus and squid appetizer and then fried artichoke hearts, we asked the waiter about a seafood dish. He brought us the chef who offered to prepare a platter of seafood for us with pasta on the side. Very fresh seafood, excellent preparation and superb service. Though the restaurant is across from Carnegie Hall and near tourist "deli's, " this is not a tourist trap at all... informal, but sophisticated in the European sense!
Noise level is high, and people celebrate with gusto (birthdays, etc.) Most convenient for Carnegie Hall
