Food was good, but service was spotty - waiter barely came back to check on us and we had to find him to ask for our bill and then to give him a credit card since it took so long for him to return. Is a bit loud / full of tourists too given the location.
We enjoyed the food and service but waited more than 30 minutes beyond our reservation time while it seemed that later arrivals were being seated.
Enjoyed our experience very much. Having reservations for later in the evening, called when we got out of our show earlier than expected and the Matre' D graciously moved our reservation up. Once there we were received warmly and seated shortly after arriving in spite of the place being packed... Our table was in a semi-private room, where we were taken care of exceptionally well. The food was outstanding as was the service... A great find based on a recommendation of my employer.. Buon appetite...
The food and service were awesome. Our waiter was super friendly, had us sample some antipasta and refilled our wine before we had to ask. It was a fun night in a fun place - perfect for holiday time.
My wife and I have been dining at Trattoria Dell'Arte for well over 20 years, since before our marriage. The food has been exceptional over all this time especially the various Antipasti. The service has always been superb. We live in Boston and travel to NYC several times a year. We always make time for at least one dinner at Trattoria Dell'Arte. The design of the restaurant...the only interior by noted graphic designer Milton Glaser...maintains its charm after all these years.
Well located with fine food and service to match. The antipasto selection is unequalled.
Whenever I think of good food and value in visiting NYC I think of this restaurant. The location is great
This was our second visit to this restaurant. Previously it was just my wife and myself and this time the family of seven. The food and service were exceptionally good albeit the latter dragged at times due to a large crowd. The food is pricey but, in this case, you get what you pay for in good food. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special night out.
This resturant was recommended by a friend that lives in New York and it did not disappoint. We were seated right away upon our arrival and Joe the waiter was responsive, entertaining and enjoyable. A fun New York experience!
