Went prior to the theater so they keep us on time. The veal special is a site to see for the $48 but I could take a little better quality and less quantity. Overall not a bad place but you must know what to order and what not to. Some in my party were ok with there dinner and some not. It will depend on what you get
We had a great dinner the waiter was excellent. He made our dinner very enjoyable . The food was outstanding ! We have been to this location on every trip to New York! We are never disappointed. Thank you
Staff was super-friendly and welcoming. The food was very good and the menu had a variety of options.
Both the staff and service were outstanding. Friendly and helpful.
This is still my favorite restaurant in NYC. The ambiance is cool, service outstanding and it still boasts my favorite entree. The mussels in lobster broth was amazing. I have ordered the veal parm on a bone for myself, but this time split it with a side of pasta. Still, amazing, thin, and the size of a plate. Too stuffed for the amazing lookimg desserts. Can't wait to come back again in a few months. You know when a restaurant is packed on a Thursday night how good it is. For some reason, there is always someone famous eati... read more
We were craving good old, red sauce, traditional italian and did we find it! Trattoria Dell'Arte was wonderful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the antipaste bar was incredible and unique and the entrees (we had veal parmagiana and linguine with red clam sauce) were fabulous. The three restaurants on that block are all owned by the same folks, we ended up trying each of them and all were wonderful! Will definately go back.
It's name is quaint but, in Italy, a trattoria refers to modest food served in modest surroundings; a ristorante is a much higher level place. Trattoria is a special place. We live close to Manhattan and had a time share at the Manhattan Club around the corner, always admiring it. We have tasted food in many places around the world and this one is excellent in virtually every way. Their dishes are unusuaI from the entrees to differently prepared desserts. their pizza is the thinnest crust I've ever had. I have read reviews f... read more
You cannot find a finer cannoli anywhere in the world. The shell is very different than a typical cannoli and the filling is smooth as silk, not a bit grainy like most cannolis I've had. Worth every calorie!! The meal was also terrific; I had the veg/seafood antipasto. I go here every time I'm in NY.
Not just a convenient spot for pre/post Carnegie Hall or City Center dining [which it is], but a wonderful restaurant that is worth a detour to, and even a journey. The maitre d' and wait staff -always welcoming and attentive -whether your first time, or a regular, you feel at home. And the food - well, what's not to like. The antipasto bar is the best in town, varied, and each dish impeccably prepared. The main selections and desserts are lovely, and the little extras that come out of the kitchen at dessert time are wonderf... read more
