I have enjoyed trattoria d'el arte for over 20 yrs -- my favorite is their antipasto bar both vegetables and seafood. I enjoy sitting at the small antipasto bar whether I am alone or with others. The waitstaff have always been terrific and the food delish. I recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.
When I arrived at the appointed time for a dinner for 6 people, the restaurant had no record of the reservation I had made through Open Table; and I forgot that my confirmation number was in an e-mail message on my iPhone. I dreaded being told--(I was entertaining guests from Toulouse and was the first to arrive on a horrifically rainy night)-- that I was out of luck and my party could not be accommodated. Veal Parmesan is off the chain!!
always great. fabulous food. superb service. only thing, it'd be great if there were a rest room upstairs. or an elevator ! situation isn't so friendly if you're achy breaky for whatever reason.
When I dine at a restaurant, I usually like to ask the server what their favorite food is at the restaurant. I never thought of the thin-crusted pizza - it was sooooo good. Shared a tartufo which I've never had it the way it was served - not your usual restaurant tartufo. It was outstanding. Have been at this restaurant from time-to-time --I enjoyed this dining experience the best. Will be back!!
Dressy. Grown up. Helpful service. Great wall art downstairs (on way to washroom). Good food.
Always one of our favorite spots, and never miss it when we go to NY. It continues to be a great spot to eat, and never disappoints. We will continue to count this as one of our count-on spots in the city.
Great place for dinner before or after attending Carnegie Hall. Great menu, food. Service was slow and we were sitting right on the waiters' path-- way too busy. There were a few tables that would have been much worse than ours-- DO NOT sit next to the host's station. The line of people waiting to get in is right next to two booths. That would have been terrible. Next time I would request a table in the back.
Everything was so delicious and the service was excellent. Would go there any time for any occasion. Thanks for a gr
