Made reservations for a part of four for 8:00PM on a Saturday night (exoected that the theater crowd would be gone by then). We were promptly seated in a nice booth in a large room in the rear. The restruurant was about 2/3 full. The meal was confortably paced. The food was good but not up to a top Manhattan restaurant (but neither were the prices). We had a pleasant dinner. I would not go out of my way to return but would return if it was convenient.

My wife and I met our good friends in NY for a celebration dinner and had a wonderful experience at Trattoria dell'Arte. The service was excellent and food was even better. My wife had a pizza that was so thin it only had one side! We were in Sicilia in October and this is the closest I have seen to the wood-fired Sicilian pie. Our friend had a tender veal steak that covered the plate. I had tordelli bolognese with wild boar ragu that had a rich smoky flavor that was complimented by the tasty full-bodied Valpolicella Ripassa... read more

great Italian food! Everyone loved everything...and, we found it especially inviting when the maitre D walked around at the end of our meal with a fresh tray of warm, baked (yummy) chocolate chip cookies. We will definitely go there again!

While I have been supping at Trattoria for over 20 years, I hadn't been there in the last 3 or 4 years. What a pleasure it was to be recognized by my previous 'favorite' servers! And made to feel as if I had returned home ... Dinner at Trattoria Del Arte was superior; the food was delicious and plentiful. The antipasto bar remains abbondante, fresh and delicious. The pasta ... divine .... What a popular spot! I had forgotten how wonderful and eclectic their atmosphere is; I enjoyed the people watching enormously! I won't be ... read more

reservation was honored and we were seated quickly even though we arrived 15 minutes early for reservation. However, as restaurant got more crowded (within 10-15 minutes), we couldn't hear ourselves talk because it was so noisy. Where we were seated, tables were too close together also. Food was good and service was good.

Experience was great. Food was delicious, with no complaints - save perhaps cross-table jealousy. The server was a bit strange in his joking and answering of menu questions, but nothing overly-deleterious to the overall dining experience.

We were part of the pre-theater crowd on a Saturday night so noise, ambience, and service were affected. Our food selections de minimus because neither of us like to eat heavily before the theater. The wife had a cup of Tuscan vegetable soup and a half-order of pasta and both were wonderful. I had a wide noodle pasta with seafood in a white wine sauce. It also was delicious but could have been improved with more seafood. With a bottle of a craft beer, our bill came to $62 so budget diners should look elsewhere. We asked to s... read more
