We always try to get to Trattoria Dell'Arte when we visit NYC. The pizza ia always amazing!! This is the first time that we really didn't like the chicken parmesan. It wasn't very good, was a little tough. Next time we will just go for pizza.
Had the soft shell crab special and it was fantastic. Started with the beet, asparagus and gorgonzola salad and that was good too. Ended the meal with the lemon pie with caramelize sugar on top...excellent. Service was top-notch. For example: Didn't love the table we had initially, but the maitre d' immediately accommodated my request for a change. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive.
The service was excellent at Trattoria Dell'Arte. The atmosphere was energetic and the crowd seemed to be made up of more locals than tourists. I had an excellent beet and asparagus salad and the chicken paillard which was fresh and straightforward. My son had the beef which was good enough. I would return.
Everyone on the staff has been welcoming, charming, and perfectly lovely every time we have visited this restaurant. The food has been consistently wonderful, and I highly recommend!

Very nice experience. However, very noisy and crowded. Tables are very close together so it's hard not to hear the conversations at the next table. The food was well presented and delicious. Service was attentive.

We were here for a Birthday celebration and they made it a festive evening. The staff is very warm, the place is lively. We felt well taken care of.
Great little restaurant. The food was terrific and the service was incredible. The host as well as our waiter were friendly, sincere and accommodating (NOT overly solicitous, which I hate.) They do have very close seating for tables of two against the wall. This type of seating is awful in my opinion. I was so disappointed to see that grouping when we walked in, so we asked to be seated elsewhere. They were happy to accommodate. Will definitely return.
