We had a very nice visit to Trattoria Dell'Arte. The staff was friendly and quick to accommodate us and we had no problem getting to the theater on time. The maitre de found a nice quiet spot in the wine cellar, as requested, which we really enjoyed. Our food was good but some options off the antipasti bar looked better than they tasted. I would still return.

The whole experience was delightful from the beginning to the end. We had requested upstairs, aware that the noise level was higher in the front. It was closed, however they sat us in the back and we could hold a conversation without any trouble. Waiter was fun and gracious; food selection delightful; and all went well for a wonderful evening in NYC. Thanks.

Very friendly and sincere welcome at Trattoria, and I loved the selection of antipasto delights that I chose for my Restaurant Week entree. This is a wonderful location, right across from Carnegie Hall and near enough to most Broadway shows. There were some visitors from Italy eating at a nearby table, which is a great sign that the food is genuinely Italian!

My wife and I had been there many times and enjoyed both food and service. When we decided to take our special-needs son out for a special dinner, we made a reservation at Trattoria dell' Arte, asking for a booth. The maitre d' was very helpful. Even though it was a busy night, the booth was waiting for us when we got to the restaurant, in a quieter section, as we had requested. The food was as usual very good, from the house specialties like the appetizer pizza to the pounded veal and the scampi. But the best, in our case, ... read more

The food was good, but overpriced and not worth the money. I ordered tortelli with ragu sauce. For about $24 dollars I received 6 tortelli - no salad, no sides, nothing. I had to go to the bar to get a water refill as my waiter was not that attentive. The hostess was very friendly and warm.
