This review is only for the items I buy here. Whenever i have a craving for tiramisu, I go here! I had tiramisu from numerous places in several countries but Uncle G's is the absolute BEST. My new favorite market... Replaced Whole Foods, and i save $ to boot. No comparison to other "super" markets aka Waldbaums, Stop-n-Shop. This is a relatively new store, it's clean, and well-organized. Prepared foods department is so visually appealing, its hard not to want to try everything. Great selection of fresh pasta, "ready to heat at home" meals, and homemade sauces (I have tried the Marsala and the Vodka sauce so far!) Staff is friendly, and always willing to give a sample to taste! Can't go wrong!

They have a selection of breads, bakery items like cookies (try the cannoli cookies with the white sprinkles on top) cakes and more. The reason this market is above the rest is because their personnel is very good. Ms christa speranza in customer relations is Excellent in handling customers request and in these days that makes one exceptional!!!
I've been away from New York for 34 years. My sister took me here when I visited and my heart about jumped outta my chest! I mean the amount and variety of delicious prepared foods, along with the boars head cold cuts (we don't get boars head in Cali), the memories of all this delicious food was overwhelming. My sister spoiled the hell out of me and got everything I asked for. I think I gained 5 pounds just walking through the store. I can't wait to go back!
Great store....great staff! I have been greeted kindly in every department, helped when needed as well. I've also used them for catering and not only was the food delicious, the catering manager was accommodating. Just don't go in there hungry!!
