Although I enjoy shopping at the market, it's very upsetting that they don't have a quick check out line. Every grocery store has a check out for 10 items or less. During covid many offer a lane for 65 and older customers. I had three items and was told to wait on line that stretched back past the meat counter and to the deli counter. So I put my stuff back and left. Along with two other dissatisfied customers. Surprised at them.

Post storm, no power. I needed ice to try and salvage food from the freezer. Yeah, me and everyone else. After striking out at all the usual places, I tried UGM. No luck. So I asked if/when they would have it, and someone found a bag of ice for me that had been slightly damaged. I'm not sure what makes damaged ice unsalable, but it certainly worked for me! They were extremely gracious and helpful. Kudos!

I had a convo with someone who shops at a different UG and they love the place. Maybe because I keep expecting it to be Turco's on steroids, I'm frequently disappointed in this place. No more fresh mozzie, no more self serve olive bar (OK, I'll give you a pass on this due to Covid), no more chicken burgers. The butcher shop employees look like they don't give a hoot (OK, that's the same ). Salmon, a staple for dinner in my house, just jumped 30% in the past week. What? I can't understand all the negative reviews here. Yeah it might be a little pricier if you were to compare it to markets like acme or shoprite but the quality of goods differ. I love their homemade pastas as well as everything else. Their sushi is also so delicious. So many choices to choose from and if by any chance I cant find the sushi that I want the sushi chef is very kind to make me what I want on the spot with a smile. This weekend I ordered two cakes for my kids graduation party from the bakery department. They were both incredible! Not only did the baker customize each cake the way we asked, the cakes looked great and we have no words for how delicious they both were. Many thanks to your bakery team for making the process so easy and giving us 2 awesome cakes to celebrate a special day!

Best place to get To-Go family dinners (meat balls are perfect). Even if you want to host a dinner party, best selection for charcuterie board meats and cheeses. A tad over your typical corporate market- but it's quality over quantity and Uncle G's is the place to go!

Our first visit - we're 20 mi. south so a "quick run" to the market is out of the question. Overall - very impressed. I would shop here again soon. Very, very large selection of prepared foods and great pasta choices! I think a non-cook will really love it. As a standard grocery store, no nits whatsoever. It's got what you need. Always fully stocked, meat and produce are great quality, everything is clean including staff cleaning shopping carts and hand sanitizer available. Staff are helpful and kind. The pizza dough is great too!
