Great new Italian-oriented market specializing in freshly prepared food. They just opened 1 day ago but the service was phenomenal! Not a single hiccup. *An excellent staff member named Fabienne (from the prepared food counter) went WAY above and beyond the make the experience special and get me exactly the sandwich I was looking for*
I've been waiting for this place to open! While there are quite a few stores on Long Island, this is only the 2nd Uncle Giuseppe's in NJ. Fortunately for me, it's not far from home! The store had a secret opening the day before the official Grand Opening so I had a chance to sneak in before the big crowd. There's really so much to take in. I Must've Died and went Straight to Meat Market Heaven!! Holy Freakin Cannoli This Place Is The Real Deal over here. Today is the Grand Opening of the second and newest Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace to hit New Jersey and after checking out some of the ones located on Long Island, I gotta say that I'm gonna be a regular over here now. It's like an Italian version of Wegmans. Large selection of freshly prepared foods and a good and very neatly arranged dairy, meats and produce. It's about 30,000 square feet and takes up most of the old Shop Rite. It's a 5 star experience but kind of pricey.
Three stars for the quality of the food; 1 star for their customer service department. I ordered several bakery items for delivery on Christmas Eve. I specifically made mention to ring the bell because there was ice cream in the order as well. About 45 minutes after they were supposed to get here, I checked and there on my stoop sat 2 packages 1 with melting ice cream; 1 with nothing of the rest of my order. I liked it all good parking with entrance in the back and front. A wonderful deli counter. Fine tomatoes and fresh vegetables. As you move through you find fresh semolina bread and quality meat.let's not forget the Italian cookies. I think it's time to mask up get here for a Christmas meal.
