World class selection of fresh meats, cheese, olives, seafood, and international items. My favorite area is the wide variety of pre-made meals and apps. Deli counter is beat on area with quick service and full staff ready to assist. Make sure you visit the bakery section that has thw beat black/white cookie on Long Island. Hot samples every weekend throughout the store are tasting and plentiful.
I have to share about this wonderful local business-Uncle Giuseppe's in Smithtown- and my experience there on Sunday! I went there with my client, who has a disability & is also in a wheelchair. She'd never been there before & I knew she'd enjoy checking it out. We wandered the aisles, sampling the huge array of cheeses, watching the fresh mozzarella being made, enjoying the Italian music & ambience, and just exploring it all. As an Italian I can fully appreciate the bigger and better concept of the Italian pork store. The only difficulty is getting past the vast selection of items at the deli department. What was key was the Italian music which I thought was being piped in through the speaker system via some digital device. To my surprise I discovered, Carmelo Raccuglia singing live from the front of the store. Let me say, the Italian experience doesn't get better than that.
