Valley Pointe Nursing Home was incredibly kind and supportive of my family while we had a family member in their care. The staff was generous with their time and support; when we needed to consider longer-term accommodations, staff were extremely helpful and shared options and helped us determine the next steps. My 99 year old mom was there for two months with pneumonia and made a full recovery. She was treated with excellent and loving caring by nurses and attendants. The administrator, Robert Pierce, is a kind and friendly gentleman who saw to our needs. And Rocio was so helpful in getting mom Into this facility. Thank you, Rocio, for your kindness. My Dad was transferred to Valley Pointe from UCSF for extensive rehab following a complex illness, including severe pneumonia requiring ventilator life support in the ICU (COVID-19-negative, luckily). He was at Valley Pointe for over 60 days, and overall the staff was kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and provided quality care with dignity and compassion. The COVID-19 rules permitted visitation only through the window or on the patio (6 foot distance + masks), and the staff always helped facilitate visits as best they could. ... read more

I picked this SNF after 4 admissions to a Separate Castro Valley facility. The staff here are caring, careful & cheerful. This includes the CNA, nurses, therapists,& staff. The food is attractive & good. The place is immaculate. I would recommend this to my family.

Impressed! Especially because this is a demanding profession! Patients came in mostly in pain, anxiety and frustrations. Your staff has shown care and patience. The place has been clean and no smell of bleach, unpleasant odor or artificial scent. After my mother explained her requests and initial difficulty of adaptation, the staff really helped her out with smiles and detailed replies. She said the place was like a five-star hotel! I am so impressed with Valley Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center. My mother broke her hip, had surgery and was placed in this Center. Since that time she has received outstanding care. The staff are professional, caring and friendly. They go out of their way to help each and every patient. The facility is spotless. The food is good. First of all, the facility has ample staff to handle the workload. The staff is well-trained, hard-working, and friendly. They take pride in what they do. The physical therapy and occupational therapy that my family member received was outstanding. The social worker is excellent, and the administrator is professional and highly competent. Overall, this is an outstanding facility.
