I picked this SNF after 4 admissions to a Separate Castro Valley facility. The staff here are caring, careful & cheerful. This includes the CNA, nurses, therapists,& staff. The food is attractive & good. The place is immaculate. I would recommend this to my family.

Impressed! Especially because this is a demanding profession! Patients came in mostly in pain, anxiety and frustrations. Your staff has shown care and patience. The place has been clean and no smell of bleach, unpleasant odor or artificial scent. After my mother explained her requests and initial difficulty of adaptation, the staff really helped her out with smiles and detailed replies. She said the place was like a five-star hotel! I am so impressed with Valley Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center. My mother broke her hip, had surgery and was placed in this Center. Since that time she has received outstanding care. The staff are professional, caring and friendly. They go out of their way to help each and every patient. The facility is spotless. The food is good. Ancillary services such as physical therapy are highly effective. I strongly recommend Valley Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center for anyone in need of rehabilitation services. First of all, the facility has ample staff to handle the workload. The staff is well-trained, hard-working, and friendly. They take pride in what they do. The physical therapy and occupational therapy that my family member received was outstanding. The social worker is excellent, and the administrator is professional and highly competent. Overall, this is an outstanding facility.

My Mom was here for physical and occupational therapy after a hip fixation surgery. The staff was exceptional and very helpful and kind. Our experience was very pleasant. I was able to be there alongside my Mom as she stayed away from home. I would come and stay 12 hours a day without any negative comments in regards to my being there. It was our first time experiencing a 4 week stay at a facility; but the Valley Pointe staff made the experience enjoyable and stress free. When locating a Skilled Nursing Facility/Rehab for placement of a loved one,it's usually our nose that gives the first impression. At Valley Pointe in Castro Valley there was no offensive smell, my first impression was cleanliness. One of my parents was here recently, for two weeks. I was not impress with this facility, old building needs renovated ,it is not modernized and obvious things broken, furniture old /outdated the room mom in was small ,separated by curtains that arent clean and with other residences who are territorial hoggin the space shared by 3 beds,crammed in! bed she had not comfortable and they werent changing sheets,blankets daily. everything looks outdated and uncomfortable. my mom was at this facility 1 week and ended up with UTI/SEPSIS... she was acting delirious ,not eating and ... read more
