Residents and the activities are fantastic! I just loved how welcome they made me feel. Only downside was the food didn’t feel super fresh. Made me wish it was more home made tasting. Other than that and hearing that the maintenance is less to be desired.

The people who live and work at Verena are what make it special for me. Having been recently widowed, I was worried about fitting in prior to moving here. But everyone is very friendly and inclusive. There are a variety of activities to accommodate people and you can be as busy as you choose. They have various apartment sizes to choose from, I have a one bedroom and it is perfect for my needs. I'm very happy I chose Verena at Leander for this stage of my life.

When looking for a place for mom or dad, give us a look. Leaving a house is a difficult choice. I have personally lived in 4 different properties over the last 8 years and Verena at Leander is by far the best. I feel safe, well fed and have transportation to where I need to go (within a certain distance). Grocery store (HEB) and Wal Mart runs are made about once a week. Everyone is friendly and accepting. Everyone here from staff to residents are super friendly and helpful! The rooms are huge and the entire place it alwasy super clean. The transportation is awesome a 15 mile radius for your appointments. Chef and food is excellent! Great value compared to other places we visited. If you are looking for Independent Living The Verena at Leander is awesome!

The current Verena team is amazing. The office team, especially [name removed] are wonderful! Their prompt response, kindness, understanding and care is beyond words. This is a home. The people that work here are top line. Management is the greatest. Have a problem or you just need to talk she will always make time for no matter how busy she is. I had a problem here recently and before I could turn around twice it was no longer a problem and I’m as happy as a cranberry merchant. She let me know in no uncertain terms that I mattered. Been here going on 3 years and have been very pleased. [name removed] the manager listens to any concerns you have and immediately takes care of it. The activity directors are the best. They keeps us well supplied with wonderful things to do and places to go. We have a great transportation driver that gets us where we need to be in a timely manner and he is so sweet to all of us. All these people make this an awesome place to live. I’m so glad I found it.

The staff here does listen to what we say. Many building improvement are being done. The food is good and heathy. I would like a little more variety. (but that's me). We been here 3 months and feels like home.
