My mother is still taking some time to adjust with her move to this community. However my father is doing well, and I do feel comfortable with their move to this community. They are safe, and in good hands. The staff is good, and have friendly whenever I visit. Nothing is wrong with this community, and I have no complaints about it. I would recommend it to my family, and friends.
This is an amazing property. Beautiful. Staff friendly. Amentities the best of all we looked at but the price started on the high end of mom's option so was too much.
I was having lunch with a family member, if you could call it that, and had one of the worst experiences. First, the food tasted like it was all processed, and fried in dirty oil. While our waiter([name removed]) was amazing, a waitress for a neighboring table was beyond disrespectful. Verena at Leander misrepresents the facility and is marketed in an untrue fashion. The Verena I signed a contract with a year ago is far from the Verena of today. Amenities that they freely market may or may not happen, communication from Corporate to Staff to Residents is lacking in many areas, the building has been neglected and there is constant issues with water, and now mold. This place held great promise for my family upon visiting for the first time. We were wined and dined and told about all the good things. What we weren't informed of was the major construction project that would span for much of my family's lease term. The only thing luxury about this place is the price as the services are inconsistent, particularly the food service. Take a look at the menu and you will see items such as Asian Salmon and Pork Stew. My parents live here and I visit them often. Based on the level of services delivered, this is a poor value. The accommodations are comfortable and the place is clean. The food is good too. However, the food service is consistently below average; orders are often incomplete and inaccurate. The standards are low here and the majority of staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. Even when I visit, I notice the front desk staff is unhappy and unpleasant.
Beware: Skye has totally fallen apart in the last year. Major construction is always going on due to poor maintenance and construction. Leaks everywhere, especially in apartments. Trash cans are overflowing constantly, and stink. MOLD growth has occurred multiple times in my unit due to various drips and leaks, and I've had some breathing issues. They just changed hands, and the management is making changes. Due to new management, I would recommend you find another community. They keep changing the hours for meals. Most of the time you don't get what you ordered. The dining room is back up within the last two weeks
