The staff is wonderful. The food amazing! The place is clean! The intake by the marketing person and the Administration was great. Such organization! I would recommend Verena at Leander to others.
Overall good experience so far with the Verena at Leander community. Staff turnover results in staff who want to help but don't know how. Food is very good but current chef is leaving soon. Can be slow to resolve issues.
5 stars for all categories. My grandmother and the whole family agreed that the Verena at Leander was and is an amazing place. The facility has the best food, beautiful apartments and the most friendly staff. I would highly recommend Verena to others.
While there are always a few glitches that come with apartment living, Verena has been very good to work with on resolving issues. Staff is super friendly and it's kept very clean. The restaurant could use a bit more variety and they do run out of the daily offering sometimes but there is always something to choose from that's tasty and certainly sufficient food is provided!
My mom recently moved in to Verena at Leander. Sales told us it was a cruise ship without the ocean. It is!
I visited Verena at Leander with my mom. I was surprised that people living there would stop what they were doing to meet me and mom. We both liked knowing how personable and friendly everyone was. We had lunch as part of the tour. Mom loved the fresh salmon and mushroom risotto while I had a BLT sandwich (it was even better than I could prepare). Chef [name removed] popped out during the visit to make sure we were enjoying the meal. So glad mom isn't lonely anymore. She has friends to enjoy each day with.
I enjoy the people, I enjoy the staff, they are always very helpful, always with a smile. The activities ie: strength classes, art classes. The food is excellent. There are always new choices and I love the fact that they have a beautician on the premises. I am very happy to have come to Verena at Leander.
Overall, the staff is friendly. There are plenty of activities made available if residents choose to partake in them. The staff is responsive. They just had a change in management in the last couple of months, so I don't know yet what that will be like. I believe they've handled Covid fairly well, and I feel like it's a much better place than where she was before . The people are nice. They are changing ownership currently. During the pandemic the community shut down common areas and this was different than what was sold to us. Families weren't able to come visit. This was hard on the residents. The vaccines were originally slated to have the residents to find it out. They are now scheduled for [date removed].
