The staff has been wonderful but when being in the facility, as a visitor, after concierge is gone, it would be nice to know how to locate someone if needed. We are happy that the facility also allows our daughter to stay occasionally overnight as this provides a level of additional comfort for mom.
Village Veranda is clean, well maintained, new, full of friendly staff, and the residents we met seem happy. It’s very handy to have memory care done one hall and ALF down a different hall since I have 1 parent in each location.
Our main concern while searching for a Memory Care facility was our loved one enjoying their stay in a safe environment. While the Village Veranda has its issues, our loved one is happily singing, playing ball, playing games and dancing without worry. The Activity Director makes this facility the best we've seen, and we've seen many. As I told my Dad, our loved one is enjoying herself. Village Veranda is a very well kept, friendly and organized facility. It is a newer place and is only seven miles from my home which is very convenient. I would recommend Village Veranda to other families looking.
My loved one has made friends here and is doing very well here! She's involved with the evening activities. I've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the food, but my loved one eats differently than we do and complains about the food.
We really do like the people at Village Veranda, the staff members and residents alike are very friendly and very helpful. The executive director is really a great person. We do see different activities going on which is great. Overall we have had a positive experience but at times the communication is lacking and they are struggling with staffing.
The Village Veranda community is very clean, bright, airy and the people are very friendly and always have smiles on their face. They make it appoint to call the residents by their first names and they treat us very pleasantly when we come to visit. They put us at ease but answering all questions we may have, the value here is much better and overall it is a top notch facility.
My brother has been a resident at Village Veranda for 2.5 years. He has become friends with staff members as well as other residents. My brother has dementia, and as his illness causes his mental and physical decline, the familiarity of the facility and staff has been a comfort to him and his family. The building is lovely, easy to navigate and has a beautiful courtyard. The staff provides special events and activities weekly for residents.
Village Veranda is a beautiful community with spacious room great food and fun activities. Living here is very nice. We have a great staff. They are all friendly and helpful. The management staff are always striving for the best. However every place has a drawback or 2. Weekends have no group led activities and are pretty boring. Even weekdays don't have much to do.
