We chose Village Veranda because of the location. The room sizes here were adequate to a hotel room. She liked the food at first but then grew to dislike it. I would want others to know when looking into this facility that when my mother passed, her possessions disappeared from her room. They did end up compensating us for those items. I would have a hard time recommending.

Some activities they provide are games, they bring in entertainment, they have movies that are available. The food was well prepared, the service was very good. My mom lives in a studio room, its very well sized. This facility was brand new which stood out to us, which helped in our decision. Would recommend this to a family or friend.

Beautifully, designed facility that just opened up in July 2019. Well-thought our, warm & bright activity and dining spaces for residents. The bright, spacious rooms are across from a big, beautiful courtyard. Also was the only place we encountered were there was some supervised integration with Assisted Living side, which was nice.

1. What I liked most about the community was the friendliness of the residents. They always made you feel welcome in the dining room 2. They could improve on their staff response to the light system. I had multiple falls and felt I was made to feel like I was falling on purpose! I left because I was unhappy there.

As so many others noted, this place should be ashamed of itself. The facility itself is beautiful but its run beyond poorly. Constant problems with medication and food delivery. Poor seniors don't get to eat because the staff (or lack thereof) forgets to bring them food. I've had to beg for meals four times just in the last week because they forgot to deliver to my parent who is on Hospice. Medication delivery is a nightmare. Every single day its late - sometimes VERY late, sometimes not at all. Nobody is ever around so when... read more

Not what it was advertised to be! It is very clean. The people who live there are friendly however the management is NOT. They really don't care about anyone there. Staff is the worst. They will tell you anything to get you to move in and afterwards they don't care at all. Food - Again false advertising. The activity Director is the only person there that actually cares about the residents.

I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. Very nice facility, but very poorly run. Honestly buyer beware. They have top down management problems and very poor supervision. Till they are replaced nothing can change. My only advice to others is don't put your loved one in there.

Quality of the meals went down hill fast, currently not being given choices where there had been in past. Overall this is her 3rd facility in 7 years. All have been understaffed. All get you with same/similar sales pitch. You pay a lot of $$ for little assistance and the staff and management change frequently, likely because corporate keeps a higher % than they give to keep employees. Basically the people working there have good intentions but leave when they are spread too thin.

The first night he slid out of his chair. I rang the bell and no one came. I went to the desk there were four women looking at the monitor flashing Emergency! I told them he was on the floor . No one moved; they told me to call the fire department. He was 145 pounds so it wasn't that he was heavy. The firemen even called the director saying what was wrong with their people. Next morning (I had stayed the night), at 9:30 we woke up. No one came to his room to care for him or give his insulin and breakfast. I rang the bell thi... read more
