The biggest concern I have is with the care. What the community has to say they can do, they don't follow through with it. I'm not impressed with the way they have the med techs set up. Life Force is the primary doctor of the residents in the community. There are times when I don't hear back from the staff for a week or more. The building and rooms are gorgeous.

Our family had an in person tour and Village Veranda is a beautiful facility, but we did not choose it because they don't have an area for smokers.

Our loved one was not there long, but I thought they were great. I think he would have really liked it there if he would have lived longer. They were right on the ball. The staff were very interactive and would call me on their days off. Anything we needed done was done quickly, and we didn't have to wait. My loved one seemed to like the food. Being out of town, we haven't been able to visit to much but the feedback i have heard is that our loved one is very satisfied with the activities. Our loved one likes that there is an outside garden area and the grounds of the community are very pretty. The rooms are very nice and have big bathrooms. The only reason we gave this community a 4 out of 5, is sometimes its hard to get a hold of the staff so the can track down our loved one so we can speak with her. It's a beautiful facility. For the specific needs of my family member, it has worked out very well. She needs minimal care at this point. So I can't necessarily judge based on the higher levels of care, but for her level of care, it's been good. They keep the residents engaged. They've been very good about Covid. They've had very few infections in the last year and a half. The food is good. It's like being at a restaurant. They have decent choices, and great desserts. Everybody there seems to like the food. The community is very nice and they keep the facility neat and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful but the nurse did misdiagnose a health condition. I would recommend this community to others.

We felt that this was a beautiful facility, it was clean and the staff is always interacting with the residents. We enjoyed the entertainment they had, they would bring in an artist to come sing and dance with the residents, and the guest were also able to dance with the residents. Now with COVID they have had to shut down

We chose Village Veranda because of the location. The room sizes here were adequate to a hotel room. She liked the food at first but then grew to dislike it. I would want others to know when looking into this facility that when my mother passed, her possessions disappeared from her room. They did end up compensating us for those items. I would have a hard time recommending.
