The extensions app is very useful. You can use the app the make calls when you are traveling and don't have to be physically present near the actual Vonage device.
I've been making wifi calls from Brazil to the US with not problem and no cost. Just dial the area code and number just as if I were at home. AT&T charged me $500+ for a handful of calls and it didn't work from Brazil most of the time. This app is great. If you're traveling internationally I highly recommend it.
I have the unlimited world plan plus the extension on my iPhone and have been calling my wife from Los Angeles to Panama. So far I have called her 95 times and the connection has been perfect. I simply love it. My only complaint is I have to call a land line when calling her. I would prefer to call her smart phone. In spite of this I still give it 5 stars.

Easy to use. Good price for great service. I'm yet to buy the land phone but have been using the app for a while. No complaints.
Through the different iterations, Vonage has really stepped up their game. I love being able to choose between cellular and Wi-Fi card on depending on where I am. Great reception, and a real money saver, specially when traveling out.
Update: app is working even when connected to bluetooth..good reliable app Works well with wifi Does not work when connected to bluetooth in car
