Our anniversary dinner opened with a champagne toast then Irish coffee on a chilly December evening. The vegetable beef soup was tasty enough to be a meal in itself. Entres were the cod on a potato cake covered with a clam and root vegetable chowder sauce. The generous portion was delicately delicious and the sauce complemented the cod perfectly. The other entre was the pheasant which included several slices of baked breast and a portion of pheasant sausage that was delightful and a perfect complement to the pheasant breast.... read more
W. A. Frost in St. Paul is one of my favorite restaurants. The food was excellent and the holiday decorations made the place even more beautiful! If you have never been, make a reservation today!
I take my nephews out every 9 months or so for a "culinary adventure." We had a marvelous adventure last Sunday, December 28. Our server (I can't remember her name) was truly outstanding - she knew we wanted to share everything and take each course slowly. She was friendly, helpful and ensured that each appetizer, soup, salad and entree came at just the right time. It was an amazing meal - we dined for 4 hours and everything across our tongues was memorable. My nephew, age 27, stated emphatically at the end of our meal - "Th... read more
The food was excellent, the service was spot on and the ambiance was relaxing. Overall a great dining experience!
Having had such a wonderful experience the first time I was here, I brought my daughter for a birthday brunch. She loved the omelet she ordered. I wasn't as excited about my bacon and eggs dish. Since the jam was so delicious, I would love to have had a couple of substantial pieces of multigrain toast on which to spread it. The dish was not expensive and I'd have been willing to pay more if that's what it... read more
We usually go to WA Frost once or twice a year and have never had a bad experience. The food, service and atmosphere is always top notch. We almost always have the tasting menu and it did not disappoint - every single course was incredible and left you wanting more! In addition to the great food, the service is always great and the wine list is serious.
We had a very enjoyable dining experience at Frosts on Dec. 26. The service was friendly without being intrusive. We were allowed to set our own leisurely pace. The food and wine were excellent. the decorations and holiday ambiance made us feel like we were in Victorian England.
This resturant is good for the group and family. we love the basement lounge because we feel so cozy sit there and relax. The food is also great and we love it. we will definitely recommend this one to friends.
My experiences have been up and down here in the past but we had a great evening here with friends this week. There is no place like W.A.Frost for getting in the Christmas spirit. What a beautifully decorated space.
