Everything was great except online ordering. For some reason it was more difficult than on my last visit 2 weeks ago.
Went to Frost’s to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary because it’s right down the street from our first apartment. The hostess greeted me with a “who are you” instead of “Welcome to WA. Frost how can I help you?”. The patio is still a beautiful setting & I liked how spread out the tables were-quiet peaceful ambiance. The contactless ordering is quite cumbersome & impersonal. WA Frost is doing a fantastic job during our Covid times. Social spacing and the most minimal contact of any restaurant I have seen so far. Good food too!
Beautiful seating area- outdoors in a quiet garden patio. But the service model is challenging- one must order from a rather limited menu only accessible via QR code, and "for the table" (no splitting checks). Because of its location, our LTE service was limited, and their WiFi is password protected, so we had to hail a server to sort that out before we could successfully order. Some of the COVID adjustments were good. Ordering via QR; the 20% service fee that we pray went to the workers; the tables spaced in the elegant patio. On the other hand ... while waiting for our table another patron walked from the bathroom back to her table and the hostess acted like she was ready to shoot her. Once again fabulous. It is so nice to have the patio open once again even if the inside bar is still closed. The menu is not as robust as it was before the pandemic but there is enough variety for everyone.
The perfect setting and perfect evening (weather). Why not a 5? Technology issues - and mistakes in our order (for drinks) were problems. Yes - technology is new because of COVID, but not being able to log in - and no 'human solution' is not a great response. Also - no way to keep a tab open - who needs multiple 'receipts'!
Great patio dining experience! The staff did a wonderful job overcoming the obstacles of social distancing and keeping everybody safe!
The patio spacing and COVID process was awesome. Both my date and I were very comfortable enjoying the great food and drink in a very safe setting
