I really enjoyed the Winter Lettuce salad and the Rainbow Trout. The trout came with a horseradish sabayon. I'm not a horseradish fan, but I really liked this sauce. It was very well-balanced; not overbearing and just the right touch of flavor for the fish. My dining companion had the BLT Salad and the Duck special and enjoyed both of those. We both really like carrot cake, so we split that for dessert. Unfortunately, neither of us particularly cared for W.A.Frost's interpretation of this cake. (That's the only reason that w... read more
Excellent meal and excellent service. The cheese selection is very long and great. The sweetbreads are AMAZING. The trout was cooked perfectly and desert (the Kit Kat desert) was super.
The staff was mindful that we had a concert to attend and needed to leave at a certain time. They worked well together to clear our dishes, bring clean silverware, and fill our glasses. Our waiter, Andrew, was knowledgeable, charming and attentive. Our food was fresh, with robust flavors and the combinations of ingredients were intriguing. We were seated by a roaring fire which was much appreciated given the chilly temperatures outside. We were able to enjoy our dinner with minimal intrusions.
Food tasted good. We could have used either a pot of coffee left at the table or more frequent server attention, though.
The food is exceptional although the lunch menu on the website cited an appetizer menu available for lunch which it was not. Food is fantastic though!!
We are always very impressed with our food and service. Little disappointed with the tasting menu this time so we passed on it for other items on the menu.
We were so pleasantly surprised by fabulous menu, incredible food, and outstanding service! We are out at competing restaurants at least once per week, and have eaten at Frost's many times but not in the last couple of years. They have maintained the classic decor and service and have updated their menu with great small plates, and micro entrees. The service was outstanding, and if you're lucky enough you'll get to see and hear waiter Andrew sing Happy Birthday, another great treat with his classic opera voice!
WA is simply amazing--great food, knowledgeable service staff, wonderful environment. Only downfall was--when I asked for specially veggie accomodations I think the service thought I was asking a bit too much. There was only one veggie option for entre and it was something my husband wasn't too keen on. He ended up ordering it because it was the only option, and he actually ended up liking it. But--wish this place was a little more veggie-friendly. Otherwise--highly recommend this great spot!
The food was really especially good. And the fire we sat beside was a wood fire.
