The sweet potato gnocchi and pheasant are absolutely amazing. The lobster risotto speci was a tad heavy on the fennel, but the excellent wine and service and the unique, romantic ambiance made up for it in spades. We can't wait to come back to have a drink in the 40's style basement lounge and eat on the patio once it's warm!
We love WA Frost but our waitress was "not there". She forgot our soup which we had remind her about and by that time had her take if off the bill. We say quite a while before we got service. Not sure if they were short staffed that night, but that is not our problem. The food was good and like I say, we really like the place. Too bad we had an unusual experience with a sub-par server.
W.A. Frost is our favorite special occasion restaurant in the Twin Cities. Their tasting menu features great variations on regular food rather than some bizarre combination of goofy ingredients. The wine pairing was also great. Try one of their B&B Manhattans.
Food was what I expected. Service was better than I expected. If you haven't been I would suggest checking it out
We love coming to W.A Frost for so many occasions whether it's a celebration or a quick bite for lunch. We've even brought our young children and it was great. The food was exceptional as well. Always look forward to a meal with Frost.
This place was amazing! Some of the best food I've ever tasted. My girlfriend said it was the best chicken she'd ever had. I had the cuban panini. It was phenomenal. The balance of flavors in both entrees was perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to taste something wonderful they've never had before.
We ate here for a pre-Valentines Day dinner. It was a great choice for a romantic date-serving staff was knowledgeable and very professional. The one thing we realized is it took awhile for our orders to be taken between each course; I've heard this is so that you really relax and enjoy the experience, which we definitely did! We had a cheese plate, I had an amazing mushroom soup, and everything else we ate was very good. Atmosphere was quiet and calm-no kids helped :) We will definitely be going back.
The menu items were different. What we had was good. Don't go on your anniversary as there is nothing special for you. There was a note in the reservation but part way thru dinner I mentioned our anniversay and got a quick "oh happy anniversary". WOW thanks.
The food was delicious, we like the small tasting size desert option. We love the ambience, very romantic. The fire wasn't burning well in the fireplace ,a waitress kept trying to get it going but was not successful. Service was very slow, don't know if that is part of the vibe but we were not in a hurry.
