I'm surprised at any negative reviews for the UES location on Madison Ave. Everyone is professional, hard working, and mostly, talented. I have used some of the top Salons and this Salon gives a great experience at a 20% lower price. The stylists are all excellent. I have very think, extremely long hair that takes 45 minutes just to blow out. My hair always looks like it is ready for a photoshoot. 5 stars go to Courtney and Dee - they were great! I got a discounted rate through gilt for full head of highlights which I used today, I picked Courtney after reading some of the reviews. She's very cool and listens to what you want exactly. When I arrived I was approached quickly and someone took my coat and Courtney came and got me from the front. I come here for color only. Danielle has mastered my beautiful natural blonde highlights such that I only need to get my hair colored every 3 months. Can't beat that. They grow out so nicely. She did my color before I got married and it was perfect - the pictures came out amazing. I purchased a Groupon-card for the full set of highlights, and had a very positive experience wit this salon. Colorist Gary was very respectful and attentive, and made the highlights off the pictures I brought with me. The result was stunning - the hairs looked natural and shiny. The personnel overall is very polite - they offered me coffee and water several times, and made sure that I'm comfortable:) The interior is clean, spacious, light and well air-conditioned. The salon itself is great: efficient, beautiful and everyone is attentive. Henry is by far one of the best hair stylist I've ever had. It's hard to find a stylist who listens to what you want but also knows what will and won't work for you. Henry's cuts are always on point! I have short hair and was committed to this one hair cut but Henry flipped the switch and gave me a new cut that I love!
Henry is amazing! He manages to effortlessly fuse what the client wants and needs, and has years of experience. He gave me a haircut that completely transformed my look but still was what I had requested. Must see Eddie Wunderlich for color. Not only is he an amazing artist, but the exceptional service he offers. The whole salon as well gave me an amazing experience and walked out of there feeling like a million bucks.
Great haircut! used a lifebooker loot offer to try them out. it was expiring in a few days but they were nice enough to accommodate me before it expired. hair stylist NIna did a great job fixing my layers from my previous cut. I was ask questions that related to the type of cut i wanted and all my questions were answered honestly. the whole process took about 1 hr with wash, cut and blow out.
