I bought a dress at Wedding Atelier however it was not tailored correctly. I paid extra for halo to hem measurements, however when I received the dress several months later, it was too short and too tight. I had not gained weight and certainly had not gotten taller. The former manager of Wedding Atelier basically told me there was nothing they could do about the height of the dress and did not take ownership that it was their fault. When I first visited Wedding Atelier I was very impressed with their unique selection after being unsuccessful at several other dress stores both in and outside New York City. My original sales associate was helpful and made selecting a dress, ordering and purchasing very seamless. Unfortunately, by the time my dress arrived she was no longer with Wedding Atelier. I had such a disappointing time here. It would have been better received had all the wonky policies been disclosed in all the appointment confirmation correspondence (the confirmation email, the reminder email, the reminder call, etc). At least it would be my choice to indulge in the oddities and less traumatic overall. Upon checking in, we're told "we don't allow outside shoes" and were directed to an open closet to leave our shoes in. Then we walked around barefoot until they brought the slippers.
