We called ahead and brought our puppy in, in fear of a possible broken leg. We dropped the puppy off at 1:30pm, made over 6 calls to try and receive an update (worst phone system as you wait on hold for over 10 mins each time if you can even get a person on the line) and all they could tell me was “the doctor would call us back” , “ oh sorry we are dealing with a cat emergency “ “ummm I’m not sure whats been done yet someone should call you soon” “ I have no idea if she has been seen yet I don’t see it till it’s put through ... read more
I dropped my dog off at 1:30 didn’t get a call from the Dr until 3:30 so I figured he was almost ready to be picked up but no, by 6:30 I called them and said he would be ready when I got there wrong again I waited another 40 minutes in the parking lot. So 6 hours later I finally got him, not to mention being in a crate that long with no food, water or bathroom brake.
The care is good. The customer service has gone down hill since the practice was sold to a large chain. When you bring your pet in, you have to call from the parking lot. It doesn’t much matter that you have an extension to press for it. The wait was north of 12 minutes. The receptionist informed me that she was the only person there, when there should be 5. RecommendedHad to take my 2 year old border collie mix in as she could not stop vomiting and it was after my regular vet’s hours. I had been told by the VCA that she was non emergency and she could not be seen there. NEAMC told us the wait to see a doctor would be 5-6 hours but she would be in a kennel area with nurses to watch over her and prioritize her if she got worse. I would never suggest anyone trust this place with there pet. We brought our Saint Bernard puppy there on July 26 she had a distended stomach. We dropped her off. Few hours later received call her blood work was all normal but were her hernia repair was seem to be the problem. But she was stable . Later that evening they called again wanted to do surgery the next day but still didn’t tell us what was wrong with her and no answer other then she was stable. Woman on the phone accidentally left me on the line instead of on hold. She mocked me for thinking my dog should be done by then (we were told she was next 2 hours earlier. I didn’t think it was an outrageous assumption and just wanted an update timeframe but whatever..) She then raised her voice to a nearby animal she called Cooper and told him to calm the f**k down. Don’t want someone like that taking care of my pet.
RecommendedI’ve been waiting all day for a doctor to respond to me about my cats test results and no one has looked at them or called me back. How do they know if they don’t need antibiotics or anything else if NO ONE checks the results. Not happy!
I have been a customer for well over 30 years. Over the past year service has gone downhill. Not because of Covid but because of the way I have been treated by certain staff members. I had an issue with my dog in November. He was misdiagnosed. I brought him to VCA SS Hospital in Weymouth. He was in the hospital for almost a week with Lyme Nephritis. He almost died. The ER doctor at NEAMC told me he had Intervertebral disc disease and needed to see a Neurologist. I have tried to contact the dr and never received a call back... read more
