Westville is if anything reliable. The positives are my husband is pretty much a vegetarian and Westville is one of the best with variety and preparation. The service is prompt and friendly. This is s great Dumbo option or to put it in perspective the "tallest midget" as there is not a lot of restaurants still. Negatives are easy. It's noisy, crowded with strollers and it's a crapshoot getting a decent table even with reservations. Westville was good. I felt the veggies were better than our main courses. We got the parm fries and they came out a little cold. The outdoor seating was great...quiet and pretty.
Mother's Day dinner with our Moms. They loved the food, location & ambiance. We'll definitely dine at Westville Dumbo again.
I bring friends here and they are always happy; no matter what the dietary restrictions, everyone finds a variety of delicious options. I have many food allergies and I'm vegan, and I always get the market plate-- a choice of four of the many vegetables on the menu. There are usually entrees that I could order if I was interested, but the veggies are just so good! My friends get fish--and they are as happy as me. Highly recommended!

This restaurant has great veg options, which is why we go. The location is great in the warm weather when you want to walk around Dumbo. The food and service are great. They could expand their drink menu: Serve rose prosecco by the glass instead of bottle only. I love other Westvilles in the city but this one feels a bit less thoughtful and refined than others. Like it belongs in the suburbs. There were tons of kids and strollers during Saturday night dinner. Our group of three was seated at a tiny two top, such that we couldn't fit all of our plates and bottles at once. Not the same cozy ambiance as other locations. There aren't many dining options in Dumbo so it's good to have, but if you're looking for something distinctive Atrium would be a better choice.
My wife enjoyed her trout entree and our octopus appetizer was fantastic. My roasted chicken special was probably the blandest, most flavorless entree I've ever encountered. If I wasn't starving and worried about my wife's food getting cold, I would have sent it back. The chicken had no discernible flavor at all, almost as though it had been poached in plain water.
