I’ve learned a few things about restaurants from watching Gordon Ramsay and Bar Rescue: if the breaded chicken tenders are dark brown and dripping with oil, don’t serve them, and change the oil in the fry-o-later; If the fish in the fish and chips stinks like low tide, so much so that one of the diners at the table reared back from the stench, don’t serve it and don’t sell old fish; And if you charge an extra $10 to add vodka to the raspberry lemonade add some vodka to it. Service was great. Staff were great. However, all of our food was super, super bland. We were unable to finish any of it. Yet everything was fresh and we appreciated that aspect.

Food tastes great! But took an hour to get our food. We had to ask where our food was...once we asked they literally brought out appetizer and entree all at once which wasn’t great because by the time we finished our apps the entree was cold. The servers should know better

Very disappointing experience. We asked for our appetizer (hence the word appetizer) to come out first. Instead it came out with our meal. When all of our food did come out, it was cold and bland. We sent it back. The second time my meal came out room temperature and bland. I kept it. My friend’s salmon came out cold and raw so she ended up ordering a salad which was so spicy she could barely eat it. Management did not honor this awful experience by providing a discount or free dessert which was quite rude.

The food at this branch was a real disappointment compared to the West and East Village restaurants that I have frequented over the years. I found the vegetable dishes that I've always been so fond very bland at the Dumbo branch, and our main courses were also unimpressive. Service was very good however, our waitress was lovely and attentive and the garden is very nice. Will certainly return to Westville in Manhattan but wouldn't go back to the Dumbo branch.

we waited almost an hour for the food to come, and by the time it came, the brussel sprouts were undercooked and the salmon was overcooked. disappointing.
