I was there at Wyndham Lakes with my Husband having Lunch with my Mother . All I can say is 5 Star on the Dining Services Department . Wow Prime Rib, Roasted Lamb, Honey Glazed Ham and all the side dishes . What a Beautiful spread they put on .The Dining Room was set up with Beautiful Flowers on the tables and soft music playing . Met the Dining Dir and he truly takes pride of his Dining Room and his staff . They where all so warm and caring in helping seat us when we came in. [Name removed] was on the carving station . I must say the Buliding is Beautiful . The changes are great it’s so beautiful when walking in to the Buliding . The Lobby is so nice and with the piano it adds a touch of class . The Dining Room is so pretty and the tables being set up looks like a 5 star Resturant . The nursing Department is always so friendly and caring . My only concern is the Actitiveties lacks a lot there . I always see Residents just sitting out side in the evening when I come to visit my Mom . Wyndham Lakes has made many changes new decor, paint, furniture and a new dining area. The dining director and staff are professional and the food is tasty. The building recently had a change in management and changes each day show caring people. However, the Engagement opportunities need much improvement. The staff in that role are not trained and the memory care needs structured, sensory stimulation daily. Very nice facility, but it seemed too spread out for our purposes. The tour felt more like an aggressive sales pitch instead of an information gathering. There was no availability for 2 room units which is what we needed.

I was visiting my loved one yesterday when I smelled garlic coming from the Dining Room . So I followed it and it led me to the Private Dining Room where I found the Dining Director And Executive Chef [name removed] cooing fresh Scallopes and Shrimp with fresh pasta and pesto and garlic sauce . He had a room full of residents . It’s truly good to see they have a cooking club here at Wyndham Lakes. Chef [name removed] offered me a sample and I must say it was truly tasty and a great dish . I can imagine my loved ones living there and being comfortable. We toured the newly redecorated facilities. They were impressive. The staff was friendly, accommodating and my loved ones were very complimentary of all the services offered to them. They must sell their home before making a commitment to move into any location in Jacksonville, but all-in-all they were definitely impressed enough to see themselves living well in Wyndham Lakes.

This community has gone through a major renovation. Some areas are still not complete, but are busy around: I love living here because of the love of people I meet. The facility is a natural paradise not man made, filled with grass and squirrels and plenty of area to walk and enjoy to walk. We actually experience four seasons without real deal climate change.
