I know that most people will only write reviews when they have a negative experience. I typically don't write reviews at all because of the strain to a business it can cause. HOWEVER, the predatory practices of this place and company are appalling. Despite being pretty unresponsive while I lived there, they violated my lease conditions regarding my move-out charges and refused to work to resolve the issue. Horrible management company. Unit not cleaned for new tenant, broken shelving, promised parking but not enough spaces. Violated lease agreements by taking parking away from the residents and then not willing to discuss the problem. Lack of concern that their poor decision could jeopardize these students safety and emotional well-being.
Moved in back in June and have had nonstop problems with maintenance issues, management and parking. I will not be renewing my lease with this apartment. The price doesn't match the quality of what you're getting. Management are careless and don't pay attention to what they are doing and make constant mistakes. As a college student I can not emphasize how bad of a living situation this establishment provides. I moved into a filthy room that had a broken shower curtain, broken fan, etc. Also we were promised and signed for a courtyard A layout with a balcony, upon arrival we did not receive a balcony. The worst part of this entire living situation is the fact that they won't take responsibility with the parking situation. If I could give this negative reviews I would. My daughter moved into The Deacon because it is close to the university, had an attached parking garage that was "secure", and had free parking. When she moved in on August 14th, she was issued a parking pass and parked in the garage. At the time the gates to the garage were broken so anyone was able to park there. Don't live here, they oversold parking and now are talking it back to many students. And residents only found out from a paper taped to their door. If I could give this complex a 0 I would. I moved into an uncleaned apartment. We have mold that has not been dealt with after we submitted a maintenance request 3 weeks ago. The trash rooms are filled to the ceiling at times and spill into the hallways causing roaches to be in the halls. They are corrupt and are not trying to make everyone pay for parking after we were promised free parking in our leases.. this is ILLEGAL. This is a horribly ran establishment. DONT LIVE HERE PLEASE!!!! the people up front are absolutely horrible. they will call the police on you if you complain, because they feel "threatened". They will also tow your car when you have a parking pass for the garage attached to your building because they lease the garage out to a neighboring building. Holy cow, what a horribly managed and maintained property! My college student daughter rented an apartment there during two years, with one year in between. Both times, she was given the key to her assigned apartment to find that the units were utterly unliveable and not even close to ready for move-in. The first year, the apartment had its flooring removed due to water leak damage.
