My sister lives here and her experience has been so terrible. The management is unresponsive and never help repair things when she asks. She wishes she could rate this complex lower than one. Fire alarms go off constantly, there are lots of leaks, and lots of theft happening. Emergency maintenance might come and fix problems, but often ghost people who call. Seems like a bad and unsafe place for college students. Would rate it lower if possible.

If you rent from The Deacon and they are under the Yugo umbrella you need to find somewhere else to live. Your lease will run until 28 July not the 31st so you'll be three days without having a place if you're going to go somewhere else the next semester. This isn't even my problem with them. I moved out in May and turned in all of my keys but because I still have a lease until the end of July I came back in July and stayed one day. I asked for keys. They gave me a room key and a fob to get into the apartment. Now they want ... read more

I am a previous tenant of The Deacon. I lived there for two years, beginning in August 2020 and just moved out a few weeks ago. Saying that this place has gone extremely downhill is an understatement. I will first say that the apartments themselves are very nice with the granite countertops, in-unit washer and dryer, and individual bathrooms in each bedroom. Definitely a luxury compared to some other off campus housing options, but when I moved into my apartment, it was absolutely disgusting and had never been cleaned and ... read more

As a previous resident I warn anyone who is thinking about living here. If I could give a zero star review I would. The unit had issues the second we moved in and was evident that the $250 "redecorating fee" went straight to the owners. My rent was $909 and for what you get it is not worth it. The hallways are a complete wreck and smelled like dog pee for the entirety of my lease. The gate to the garage was also broken the entirety of my lease so don't think your car will be safe even after paying their ridiculous monthly pa... read more

I have been extremely patient with The Deacon and its staff. The leasing associates at the front desk are extremely kind, courteous, polite, and helpful. My apartment is stylish and modern with all the amenities I could ask for. Everything else about living at The Deacon - every single aspect - has been a disaster. The general consensus has been that the quality of living here has slowly increased overtime since it opened in 2019. I, however, hold the opposite opinion. I feel that the quality of living here has gone steadil... read more

I have lived here for over 2 years and the past few months have been awful. First off, the parking garage gates have never worked. There is absolutely no reason residents should have to pay for parking when anyone is able to enter/exit, it is quite ridiculous how long the garage has been wide open. Second, I contacted management regarding the noise complaint option when you call the deacon does not work back in MARCH, and it still does not work. There is no reason why this has not been fixed besides poor management, yet agai... read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE. The Deacon is the absolute worst place you could ever live. the building is disgusting and the management is awful. they do not care about their residents and will find any way to get more money from you, even though we already pay over $1,000 to live in a confined space where there are not even windows to open to get some fresh air. This IS illegal and a fire hazard. They will sure use the fire alarms however, as they go off every other night at 2am. Don't expect to get any sleep. My car was also broken in... read more

This property when I moved into in August 2020 was pretty good. The staff was amazing and responsive from leasing to the daily run of the front desk. NOW--- its under new management Yugo--- which is absolutely horrendous. There's dog poop everywhere. Its no longer pet pseudo friendly. the dog walking area is not easily accessible because they fenced off the entire parking garage except for one entryway and you cannot walk out of the car entrance -- not even using your car pass.... to the dog poop area just outside the garag... read more
