5.0 out of 5 stars Holds way more than the pump's strainer basket Bought this because in the fall when our neighbors trees would lose their leaves our pump strainer basket would get clogged with leaves multiple times per day to the point where the pump would start sucking air and shut itself off. Restarting the pump when it did this was a real PITA as well because the whole system was filled with air and it took forever to prime. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great buy. It works very well at catching the leaves and debris in your pool. I don’t see why it costs so much it should be like half the price at best but it will save you headaches down the road especially if you don’t have a good secondary staining basking before your pump.

It kept all the big stuff from getting to the pump basket so I didn't have to keep stopping the pump and emptying the basket to keep vacuuming. Saved me a ton of time getting the pool vacuumed. Definitely recommend this item if you manually vacuum from time to time.
