A Great Pool Vacuum !!! This is my second Baracuda G3. It works great...has very few moving parks and cleans the pool better than others. The disk that glides over the pebble tec surface of the pool will last about 2 years fo me. The hoses seem to last forever....

Does the bulk of the cleaning Does the bulk of the cleaning. Although, the G3 cleans the bottom and walls of the pool, it does not climb the steps. I'm OK with it not climbing the steps because I still like to brush the pool so I can visually inspect for any issues. The G3 comes with 12 sections of hose. I only needed 9 sections of hose to cover the pool but noticed the G3 would get stuck in the corner of the bottom step. Still the one bought this to replace my old one that my kid left out and the body cracked and the skirt was torned, don't know how. The new one still works like a charm, recommend it to anyone
Call Zodiac and check to see if this is the product for you As a 68 year old new pool owner I was very interested on a cleaning solution that was not manual. Based on great reviews and the popularity of the G3 I bought both it and the leaf attachment on Amazon. My wife and i spent a day trying to get it set up. Consistently good pool vacuum Replaced the same original Baracuda that was with the house when I bought it, 6 years ago (not sure how old it was). This vacuum does a great job with little maintenance. Even if something is needed, it's easy to take apart and replace a part. It's always my go-to in-ground pool vacuum. I was very pleased with this purchase through Amazon instead of paying more through my local pool store. I am a real person, purchaser and did not receive any promotion for this review.
Works great for sand! We just had an inground pool put in so have done TONS of research and comparison shopping for a suction side cleaner. We wind up with a lot of sand in our pool, mostly from the dogs getting in and out a zillion times, so I needed something that would be good with tiny grains of sand, dirt, grass, etc. I chose the Baracuda G3 because it will do what I need it to do and it doesn't have lots of expensive parts to break or wear out. A simple yet practical pool sweep that just keeps working so you have a clean pool that you can enjoy. This is my second Baracuda G3. It replaced a 9-year old Baracuda that finally needed to be replaced after running 6 hours a day every day. There are only three components that wear out but they can be replaced by most pool owners and can be purchased at any pool supply store.
