Seems pretty good after 1 use I like the hose interlock, easier to assemble than shoving hoses together. I think the only thing I don’t like so far is that compared to a traditional creepy crawler style it isn’t rubbing the floor to pull up or sweep dirt or algae. Seems to be getting the other stuff though so that’s good. Also got stuck once in the beach entry but I gave it a shove and off it went again. At least it cleaned the shallow area, creepy crawler wouldn’t even make it into that area. Pleasantly surprised with the w... read more

This cleaner uses the old Inkjet business model I've uses the MX6 for over two years and in general, I've been happier with it than the original cleaner. We unfortunately have a nearby pine tree and pine needles regularly jam up the mechanism and stop the cleaner; we just clean it everyday and that solves the problem. The thing I hate about this cleaner is the hose. The hose comes in one meter segments that lock together. These segments are highly specialized in that they are light weight and are very supple (don't tend to c... read more

Replace the "tires" when it climbs the pool wall too high or gets stuck on the steps I have had my Zodiac-6 a year now and it is a great pool cleaner. Mine runs 6-8 hours per day, salt pebble tech pool, and it cleans well. What I have noticed is after 3-4 months of continued operation, it climbs the walls higher and sometimes reaches the surface. Also when this happens the Zodiac will get hung-up on the pool steps (it needs to be high on the wall and will be above the level of the steps). This may sound goofy but when this h... read more

Whatch you’re Toes!!! The media could not be loaded. Best of the bunch. My first pool cleaner being the creepy Crawley, which aesthetically was my favorite. It looked very organic, almost alive, and if it was alive or dead by now for me, choking it for ugetting stuck constantly. Next was the Hayward the never ending Parts monster did an OK job if you could keep up with the repairs not like this unit has very few moving parts which means less things to go wrong. Murphy’s Law does not apply here. This has the highest suction o... read more

Works Great! I installed this pool cleaner after having a Haywood unit from my pool cleaner for a couple weeks. It performs much better and the water is cleaner with the Zodiac than the Haywood. The Haywood would also get struck at the slightly raised drains in the bottom of the pool and sit there for hours. This Zodiac has tracks that will just drive right over the drains. You need to time the unit to achieve the correct suction. This is basically just making sure your pump is pulling enough water thru it to let the Zodiac ... read more

Good Cleaner I have only used Sand Shark vacs in both of my pools. I needed a replacement and started looking at options. I saw the MX6 and the good reviews and gave it a try. So far, I am pretty impressed with it. The first day, it seemed to have some trouble climbing the walls. I determined that I had 1 too many sections of hose hooked up so I took one out. The issue is resolved, but I am not sure if it was the hose or not. My Sand Shark used to get stuck climbing the wall under the waterfall. It would hit the rocks and ju... read more

I wonder if there’s something better The media could not be loaded. My older in-ground pool vacuum was also a Zodiac model. That one cost around $850 and lasted for almost 3 years after I replaced all parts that I could. I didn’t want to spend the same amount again so I gave this one a try. After 2 weeks, here’s my honest review:It works. It started going all around my pool as soon as I connected it. BUT…it’s less heavy than my last one and this model has the hose opening more towards one side instead of being in the center o... read more

This is an awesome sweeper for my shallow pool! I have always been a user of a Kreepy Krauley pool cleaner (15 yrs.) I have gone thru 3 of them and each model worked less and less as well as the original. I was not sure how this "I call it a tank style due to the treads" would work, but as the price was comparable I gave it a shot! I have waited a few weeks before reviewing as I wanted to see how it did before I wrote anything!First of all, my pools is called a play pool and is about 14' x 24' and the depths are 3' at the st... read more

Best Side Suction Vacuum IMO We moved into this house five years ago and inherited the old owner's Pentair Kreepy Krauly, which was terrible. It would always get stuck over the drain, get coiled around the vacuum hose, and only moved at about a foot per minute. I figured that it might have been just getting old, so I bought another one, and that one was no better. I then bought a Hayward V-Flex and that was a marked improvement in terms of the rate of movement, but it would constantly get coiled in the hose. It fell apart af... read more
