I was quite impressed with the time spent explaining what my X-rays were showing regarding my broken foot. He even offered to send someone in to help me figure out how to use my crutches, as I told him I was not catching on really well. Very patient man and did assure me that I would not need foot surgery, but that it would take time. I have gone to EmergeOrtho here in North Durham for over 20 years and would highly recommend it and this doctor if ever needed for any foot or ankle issues.Lisa Price

This was my first visit with Dr Viens and I was very pleased. He explained everything very clearly, spelling out the options and which one he felt was best for me. He made me feel very comfortable and confident in him.
Dr. Viens performed ankle surgery on me, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience and outcome. I'm a nurse so I always 'try everything' before going to a Dr. Dr Viens listened, asked me questions, made suggestions, agreed with what I was currently doing and provided me with directions of when I should return. He confirmed some suspicions and offered additional (non medication) supportive suggestions. While I had to wait 40 minutes, I do understand that some people have more complicated cases and it happens. I was happy I was able to get an appt quickly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND EMERGE and their providers.

Dr. Viens and his nurses and staff at the Specialty Hospital during my surgery were amazing. I truly believe God led me to Dr. Viens and his PA Alexa. They have been heaven sent before and after Surgery and making sure I’m ok and on the path to healing and recovery.
