My daughter was making a move to San Jose from Southern California. She gave me the names of 3 storage facilities to check out. I went to the first one and the door was locked with no one in sight. I went to the second and the woman tried to sell me any number of units, all different sizes with all different locations within the general area. I really enjoy the friendly staff! I always feel comfortable around them and they have fantastic customer service skills. The place is kept very clean and I feel my things are kept safe and protected in my unit. I recommend this place to anyone who needs storage!

Everyone at the A-1 Self Storage on Monterey Road has been terrific. I only rented for few months but every time I have interacted with the storage personnel I received a friendly and professional service. Of all the storage places I have tried this is the one I will use again if needed.

A few months ago we had to move into a temporary living situation, and as a result were forced to store most of our belongings until we moved again. A-1 had a great move-in special and good regular monthly rates. We received excellent service both moving in and moving out. In fact, this was probably the easiest part of our two moves. I highly recommend this location.

The present staff are poorly trained When I signed up and was asking about rates, they were quick to threaten me. I should have known better. Since I spoke up and asked them some pertinent questions, I was treated rather poorly. Their friends who hang out there made rude jesters at me. One day the attendant threw a bag of trash against the window and took the push broom out and set it down to look like they were there.. Then whoever it was disappeared for hours. I was impressed with the high level of service the staff has for their customers. The facility is clean and well monitored for security. Very pleasant and professional staff . Adam is an outstanding service provider and will answer all your questions. He also offered options if I needed more space and gave me a great deal . It turned out that I only needed their services for a mere few weeks, but the folks here are really nice! Adam and Maggie are awesome. :) Their location is a slightly older one, but is kept very clean. Getting a unit was an easy process along with a good promo. Discontinuing was just as easy (my new place had room for my things in storage). I highly recommend A-1 Storage regardless of how long you'll be needing them.
In my experience this was my first time having to use a facility as such, i was pleased with the great help and information the pretty girl at the desk had given me, the facility was clean and seemed secure . The rates were reasonable as well, i would recommend it .
Leave it to A1 storage to make the SUCKINESS of Moving and Storing the Least of your problems. Friendly & Knowledgeable Staff, Clean environment, Clean units, lots of monitoring for safety, Adam the manager is ON IT and will not disappoint. I am a FAN.
