Two issues: 1. A member of the crew forgot to call me once the trip was completed. A courtesy call should have been made. 2. Although I did specifically request a female medic for my mom, the COVID-19 situation made things more complicated and caused the trip to be rescheduled resulting in a male medic instead. It seems there was no way around this because of a "3 day window" once the COVID-19 test is administered to when the patient needs to arrive at the (Massachusetts) facility from out of state. MEDLINK transported my wife and me from Wilmington, DE to Newport, RI. From the moment we met, each member of the crew (Nate, Joel and Jan) was supportive, helpful, kind and professional. When a medical question arose from the receiving facility, the crew worked diligently to solve the problem . . . and they did! Jan (nurse) provided outstanding care for my wife. I had planned to move my Mom across country (CT to CA), nursing home to nursing home in early March. I had to abruptly cancel at the last minute due to COVID and we thought the transfer could never be realized. I am still stunned that ACC was able to pull it off so successfully via commercial air escort. I was impressed from the start based on ACC's responsiveness (Maria in particular). This was a very difficult situation with our relative being out of state and not able to communicate due to a stroke. Not to mention the obstacles of COVID. The coordinators were amazing: Informative, reliable always answering the phone. Was given a quote for services; I considered it to be extremely reasonable, especially due to the distance and timing. I would have expected far more than quoted. Thank you all for such an outstanding service. I would recommend ACC Medlink to everyone.
