Decent for Photos I've spent the past several days scanning hundreds of family photos into a digital archive using this machine. All in all I am fairly satisfied with it and it does the job it is supposed to do. However, some fundamental issues make me wish I had went with a more expensive model. Great scanner with the ability to scan double-sided documents in one run This scanner has been a very welcome addition to my home office. I've been in need of a scanner that can handle an average of 20-30 pages per run, and when I saw that this could scan both single and double-sided documents in one pass I jumped on the chance to review it. Great product at a good price. Love this scanner. I had to dig online to find the right application to download so I could use it, "Brother iprint and Scan" (for MAC) but once I worked that out, it does all I need it to do. Just can't load too many receipts at a time as they won't separate properly. I'm considering getting two more for our offices.
Very fast, good quality This document scanner is very easy to use. I use it for work, and to scan different photos as well. I really like the Brother brand of products, I also have a printer made by the same company, and it works really well too. This scanner is very fast, and doesn't jam up like others do, and the results are very clear. I also like that you can change to pdf files as well. Yes! I love it! I use it almost every day. It's fast (the software, maybe not so much). But, I don't mind. It's terrific.
Super speedy, forgiving duplex scanning of docs, business cards, etc.; and clever, add-as-you-wish multipage file saving After years of saving everything, I'm trying to go as paperless as possible to reduce my overall clutter (and streamline my taxes and minimize lost documents). These days, you can do paperless billing for almost everything, but that does nothing for the giant backlog of paper you've probably accumulated. Fast and Basic This device is extremely easy to use (once drivers are downloaded) and provides superior images, quickly. We have used it to scan reports, cards, and such. I wish that it had an adjustable speed to improve image quality. Perhaps the interface support from Brother can be improved and this can become the amazing tool it has the right to be!!
