A good, low cost, small form-factor option This isn't the best scanner in the world, which should be obvious just by looking at the price tag. It doesn't have any Internet connectivity options (wired or wireless), you can only load up to 50 sheets of paper, and the bundled software is fine, but not fabulous. The scanner is not compatible with my computer. I wasted severalk hours trying to connect this scanner to my computer. Eventually, I hired a computer expert who spent twenty minutes working on the trying to connect the scanner and eventually receiving a message that the scfanner was not compatible with my computer. Yucchers!
Not as Advertised I needed a scanner that would scan long receipts… this scanner clearly states it will scan up to 196 inches… Sadly it does not. Brother customer service is exactly as other reviewers have stated… AWFUL!
Poorly supported for Linux; controls obscure I've used several different Brother machines in the past, both computer-related and sewing machines, all with complete satisfaction until now. In fact, I cannot yet speak to the run-time utility of this machine as I just now (finally) got it running. Those difficulties are the reason for my less-than-stellar review. stopped working after 5 months This product stopped working after 5 months. It is garbage. was great while it worked.
Scanner scan the under side with the line as in the image After purchasing this scanner, using for the first time it scanned the top of the paper well but the underside is scanning with a huge gap on the left side. image attached. ;(

Poor instructions and tech support - a deal killer. Spent a lot of time trying to get it to work and finally gave up. Very disappointing.
