Scanner is a waste of money Scanner constantly jams and receipts have to be rescanned multiple times. Not worth the money with all the time spent rescanning
Malfunctioning after 4 months I am giving two starts to this item. 4months later with very minimal use of this. Machine malfunctioned; a black vericak line showing up on the front and back of each page. Seller can't return it back because he is the delaer. After a while going back and 4th with Brother chat assistants, this got finally sorted out. With the replacement option of referbished item. Since, I was not happy about it but what other options do I have.
Worst scanner Bought this for my home office. It came in packaging that looked like it was used and just wrapped up. It was probably single handedly the worst device I have ever setup. The system it self is super poor quality. I am returning as soon as I get the chance too.
It works mostly but I do not recommend I'm a big fan of Brother products. The office that I work in we have nearly a dozen Brother devices. Are they perfect? Far from, but for the price point they are solid machines. So it surprises me how poor this device is, especially given that for a dedicated scanner five hundred bucks is not a trivial amount. Will not work if you need a Twain driver in Windows 10 DO NOT BUY THIS (or any other Brother scanner) if you need it to work with Twain and Windows 10. The Brother driver gives an error during installation. Multiple calls to Brother support were not able to resolve the problem. Attempted to install the drivers on multiple Windows 10 machines and each one gave the same error. Their tech supports answer was to call Microsoft.
Jams It often jams when there is no jam - frustrating!
Looks great, but did not work The scanner was easy to assemble. The touch screen is very small if you have large hands. There is a lot of software to download, and it takes up a lot of room if that is of concern. The one I received would not feed the 1st document I tried. It just kept saying document jam even though the doc was still in the feed slot. Tried disassembly and assembly had the same issue. Amazon as usual was great and accepted the return.
Scan too slow and useful After using one year. I have just a negative experience. 1. Slow Scanning 2. The software also can not recognize Scanner. 3. If you scan 40 sheets. At less 3 pages it missing in a folder. 4. If I have a chance I would like to sell.
Great product, support sucks This is a great product. Amazing quality and features but Brother support team sucks! The scan was not discoverable over wifi.. I dealt with 7 different person and they had no clue .. I had to fix the issue myself ( took 10 days)
