SORRY MACHINE & SORRY (NON-EXISTENT SUPPORT) DO NOT PURCHASE. This scanner stop scanning after about two weeks of use. It will feed documents through the automatic document feeder and then says "Please Wait".....which never ends. The machine has to be powered off and MAYBE it will scan when powered on. I called Brother technical support and waited hours on hold. I also attempted to chat with Brother support to no avail. Slow AF Scan time is slower than my printer scanner. Returned this.
Out of memory code I'm getting constant "out of memory on PC try again later." Meanwhile I have a brand new PC. The scanner sucks. After you scan like 9 pages the scanner slows down and sometimes it crashes and don't even scan the sheets. The out of memory problem is bad because this is a new scanner and now I need this to work from home. Terrible scanner.
Just couldn't get any kind of scan flow going I'm kind of torn on this but have to review based on performance without trying to figure out WHY it performs poorly. The driver installation was a nightmare, first and foremost, (maybe this is an old model), but I can get past that, if it worked without flaw. Unfortunately, I would get a "An error occurred, please try your scan again" message pretty often. Scanner Soooo much downtime during the scanning process. After the first few pages it begins processing during the transfer and slows down substantially. The software also adds an unnecessary step delaying things even further. Don't Hate it but definitely not overwhelmed.
Constant Jams and Scans So Slowly I was excited to use this for the first time and was so disappointed when it failed so badly. I couldn't get the feeder to stop jamming up and thought I was doing something wrong. After reading the instructions I was still not having luck so I'm thinking it is a defective unit. Constant Jams, Extremely disappointed with a brand I've trusted! I bought this because ALL of the printers in our office is brother brand, We've had good luck with the brand to this point. I would give it less than one star if I could. It has constant miss-feeds. The scanner comes with a carrier sheet for small items, but the scanner always detects it as a miss-feed. Not good enough for an office our IT department bought these for us and they're terrible. Our old canon scanners that were obsolete were much better than this junk. I wouldn't buy this if you need to do bulk scans or if there's ever a chance something you want to scan might have a canceled check or a sticky note attached, because it just will not scan those items and we have to make a copy and then scan again which is just a huge waste of time especially since cheaper scanners are totally capable of scanning sticky notes. Cheap quality Not a fan of how the setup process was on this scanner as well as how long it took to handle out tasks. Gave it a good go for a couple days but was not worth the price tag on this item.
