Great product!!! THE BEST!!!! This is by far the best scanner, it's great for my home office as everyone in my family can use it, and I can have it go direct to their network folder, i have never actually hooked it up to a computer directly, and I don't intend to. I purchased one for my office also so that my entire team could use it the same way.
I am a Brother Brand fanatic. Great scanning capabilities. I'm a bookkeeper and one of the add-ons I offer is to scan vendor invoices in for my clients, so they have a digital copy backup of all invoices. Pros: This scanner is quick and has duplex capabilities (can scan both sides with one pass). Can handle large quantities of scans at a time. Great Scanner works great - fast and accurate. Took some time to set up and work through all the options (direct connect, networking, etc.), but once done, it's very easy to use. I love it!
Scan, verify, shred, done. Software mainly is for windows, has your basic pdf for Mac. Works nicely on both systems. Page here and there will not feed, so have to try again. Overall though, thanks to this machine and compatibility with my Macs, I cleared out at least 90% of my desk from papers and more papers. Scan, verify, shred, done.
Anytime your wife calls hardware "sexy" you know you have a winner. The headline pretty much sums this critter up completely. My wife has to scan things often for work. Add to that 35 years of tax returns and other things that are taking up space and you now know why I was leaning toward such a nice device. Not the scanner for me Bought to replace an older Fujitsu Scansnap. This scanner scans docs ok,but makes it difficult to scan to a preferred location. I could not get it to connect wirelessly. The deal breaker for me is that it did not perform well with images. Although you can scan a stack of pictures all at one time, the scan quality is not good, and you have to crop each image. Will return and replace with Scansnap.
