easy to use works great, but did need our it guy to set it up
Easy to use high quality Love the thing works great lots of pages have gone through no problems. Software easy to use.
Decent scanner, problems scanning some smaller papers I like that it scans quickly and can save PDFs directly to a Windows share. It jams on small papers like receipts, and the clear carrier sheet they provide to help with this also always jams. I wish I would have known that... probably would have bought something else since that's a significant portion of my scans.
OCR Function Requires Windows Works with Linux over USB and over the network. This thing is so feature-packed it's hard to decide where to start. It exceeded my expectations! It's clearly designed to work in a small office with multiple users. Best *Network* Scanner in this Price Range This scanner has technical capabilities that rival much more expensive enterprise scanners like the Fujitsu Fi series. If you are a home/small office user with a simple network, the Fujitsu ScanSnap ix1500/ix500/S1500 has better software and performs better. Great buy for the money! I need an a scanner to scan multiple documents at one time because my office is scanning records from 10 years ago to Archive. This product is not a huge it doesn't take up a lot of space and therefore it works well in my small office. It's efficient and I have not had any problems with it working at this point. Some scanners that I've used before have a tendency to get stuck or lose programming but this one has not done so.
Works with linux, no BS Worked with linux (Fedora 29 KDE spin) without any trouble. The RPM provided by brother installed without issue and works with the sane backend, so pretty much all sane-based programs support this scanner. Since brother is the only manufacturer to really support linux at this time, they will get all of my business until others wake up and follow suit.
