The best sheetfed scanner I have found This is a review for the ADS-2800W. I was concerned about this product based on the reviews, but it really stands out compared to the other two sheetfed scanners that I tried: the Epson FF-680W and PlusTek eScan180. Super fast with great business oriented features This thing does double-sided scans in one pass so it's super fast. It also supports Active Directory authentication and permissions restrictions and can hook into AD / LDAP for address book lookups although it'd be nice if it also showed all the LDAP contacts in the list view without having to search for them. 2800W Was very easy to install and works amazing
Excellent Product Love it. Fast scanner. Bought to upload paper files.
Lots of features but can be slow at times We bought four of these total for our office for a document imaging project. Sometimes after copying a large number of large documents they can slow down taking there time per page. It seems fastest to scan directly to a flash drive than to do over the network or through USB to your computer. They have held up quite well for the tens of thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands at this point) of pages that have gone through them.
Great Product Performs flawlessly
Works as a standalone scanner to USB key I'm not writing reviews more than once or twice/year, but this time I really feel like I have to. I'm a long time Linux user. While I do own a Mac, it's a laptop and it's for the road only and there's no way I'm going to plug a USB cable into a scanner at home. All boxes in the home run Linux. WOW. I'm running out of things to scan this device is wonderful. It has digitized my life. I purchased this from BH photo to save paying tax but did get the 379.99 price. Wished Amazon had that option. Initially, I purchased the ADS-1700w but since it did not have a menu for cloud services and it wouldn't connect to my NAS shared folder no matter what Brother tried (has to be a firmware flaw), went with the ADS-2800w and I am sure glad that I did.
